Lady Monica Parker

Living Waters Ministries COGIC | Birmingham, Al

First Lady Monica Parker is a member of Living Waters Ministries COGIC, where she serves alongside her husband, Pastor EN Parker. She is a district missionary of the SE Birmingham District and a member of the executive board for the Northern Georgia 2nd Jurisdiction Women’s Department. She received her Evangelist Missionary license in 1990 and has held numerous positions in the church: choir director, usher, outreach president, prayer team director, Sunday school superintendent, and tutoring program director.

Monica currently works at Southern Company as an Engineering Analyst. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Troy University and a Certificate in Women’s Leadership from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Biblical Studies at Andersonville Theological Seminary.

She was born and raised in the heart of Washington, D.C., where she met and later married the love of her life, Pastor EN Parker. Soon after marriage, they received military orders to Fairbanks, Alaska, where they both accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. They traveled to several places as a military family and finally settled down in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been married to her husband, Pastor EN Parker, for 40 years, and they have one child, Latoya Square, and six wonderful grandchildren.

In 1984, God called her through a dream and told her that she was a prayer warrior. First Lady Parker has a heart to impart the knowledge of God into the women of God that will destroy generational yokes and bondages and to restrict the works of darkness through prayer.

The scripture she lives by is

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”

April Hinton Mixon, is a pastor, teacher, mentor, singer, and First Lady of Unity Christian Center in Alabaster, AL. April has been involved in some church capacity for nearly 40 years. Throughout her impressive journey, she has become widely known in the Black Belt region for her captivating worship, kindness and unwavering charisma. It is no surprise that every single person she meets has resulted in a love for her, a testament to her heart and passion for the people of God.

Currently, April channels her passion into empowering young ladies, helping them embrace their feminine sides through private and group etiquette courses and workshops. Her dedication extends further as she hosts an annual women's conference, catering to the needs and encouragement of women. This conference has gained such recognition that the State Senate has acknowledged it each year consecutively, with the 2022 conference earning special recognition.

April's exceptional talents have been repeatedly acknowledged, as she has been nominated for inclusion into the esteemed Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women Registry for numerous consecutive years. Outside of her community involvement, she is an active Pastor of Congregational Care at Unity Christian Center, Inc., where her husband, Bishop Sylvester Mixon, serves as senior pastor. With her devotion to her family, April fulfills the role of a loving mother to three children: Caleb, Joshua, and Gracie.
